The 1969 New Zealand Grand Prix was held on January 4th, 1969, at Pukekohe Park Raceway. It marked the 16th running of the Grand Prix and served as the opening round for the 1969 Tasman Series.

The Winner of the race Chris Amon (NZ), driving a Tasman Ferrari V6, secured his second New Zealand Grand Prix title after a close battle with runner-up, Jochen Rindt (Austria), driving a Gold Leaf Team Lotus 49T. Piers Courage finished third in a Frank Williams Brabham, followed by Leo Geoghegan and Graeme Lawrence.

The two time Formula One champion Graham Hill (father of future Formula One champion Damon Hill), retired after 13 laps of the race with front suspension trouble.
